It may seem difficult to settle a dispute with a professional established in another Member State of the European Union. The network of the European Consumer Centres (ECC) can help you to solve these disputes, in particular by directing you towards a mediation device.
Under this denomination, several forms of extrajudicial resolution of the disputes are proposed to the consumers. The first criterion will be the mode of conclusion of the contract: on the Internet or not. Within the framework of an online purchase one will speak then about resolution of the disputes online (ODR-Online Dispute Resolution) and for the other types of purchase it will be then about the extrajudicial resolution of the disputes (ADR-Alternative Dispute Resolution).
